Blitzen Trapper

The first song I ever laid ears on by Blitzen Trapper was “Furr”, it was on the radio one day, and I had no idea what it was called after I listened to it so I emailed the radio station to ask them…they didn’t reply. BUT then I remembered part of the lyrics…. typed them into google and WAAAAALA….I found it!! I then found this other song called “Taking it Easy too Long”.

Happy listening from my ears to yours 🙂

Bahamas

Bahamas are a Toronto based band whose name reflects their sound…warm, breezy and relaxing…this one song “caught me thinking” that it was so good I should make it my next post, and because I have been so slack in posting here’s another called “Already yours”. Happy listening!

Mat McHugh

I came across Matt McHugh after his band “The Beautiful Girls” was recommended to me. Matt branched out in 2011 and created a self titled album, which includes the song below “Go don’t stop”….

Plants and Animals

I bought the new album “The End of That” by Plants and Animals and right away the title track became my favorite song. I played it 3 times in a row…and as a matter of fact I am listening to it right now…for the second time. Yes. I am a song killer but at least now when I sing along I will not have to hum the words I’m not sure of…LOL. Enjoy!

Whitehorse

In honour of Valentine’s Day I chose two songs, one I am in love with which is called “Emerald Isle” by Whitehorse, and another that sings about love/desire, a remake of Bruce Springsteens “I’m on Fire”…. Enjoy!

Sherman Downey

Sherman Downey and the Silver Lining’s song “Keep your head up“, seemed fitting on a day when we finally see the sun after 3 snow storms and another on the way. If the happy go lucky sounds from their album “Honey for Bees” isn’t enough to bring a smile to your face, perhaps you should listen to it purely for the yo-da-lay-heeeeeeee lyric in this song which I guarantee will make you 🙂
